Pediatric Dentistry
Healthcare content, SEO and patient experience
Project status: Portfolio case study – completed assets separated from proposed strategy
Timeline: Selected work and reconstruction, 2026
A parent-centered content and search system that answers urgent questions, builds trust and guides families toward an appropriate appointment action.
The problem
Pediatric practices must communicate clinical topics clearly, reduce parent anxiety and support access without overstating outcomes. Standalone social posts showed creative execution but did not yet explain the strategy connecting patient questions, search intent, website content and conversion.
Audience
Parents and caregivers, anxious families, families seeking accommodations, referring professionals and practice stakeholders responsible for access and communication.
Ashlee's role and scope
Ashlee served as content strategist and designer. She curated completed content assets and added an independent audience, search, content-system, conversion and measurement strategy for portfolio demonstration.
Constraints
Clinical accuracy, privacy, accessibility and appropriate emergency guidance are essential. No patient-level data, appointment attribution, revenue records or verified acquisition results were supplied. Strategy created later must not be mistaken for client implementation.
Research and methodology
Grouped parent questions by intent; mapped one primary intent to each page; created content pillars; connected formats and channels to appointment actions; and identified safeguards for health claims, privacy and accessibility.
The process moved from evidence to decisions in a controlled sequence. First, the available material was classified by source and reliability. Next, audience needs and decision points were mapped. Strategic options were evaluated against the project constraints. Finally, implementation examples and measurements were connected to the decisions they were intended to support. This prevents attractive assets from appearing without a clear purpose and prevents recommendations from being presented as completed client work.
Strategic insight
Parents rarely begin with a service name. They begin with a worry: Is this urgent? Is it safe? Is this normal? Is this practice right for my child? Content should follow that decision sequence.
Decisions and rationale
- Organize navigation and content around parent questions.
- Use one primary search intent and CTA per page.
- Pair reassurance with specific process information and accommodations.
- Measure helpful actions, not vanity engagement alone.
Selected implementation
- Curated social graphics and caption examples
- Audience and search-intent framework
- Keyword-to-page and content-system maps
- Sample monthly editorial calendar
- Appointment-conversion path and KPI definitions
The selected work is intentionally curated. The public case study shows only the material necessary to explain the strategic system and Ashlee's contribution. Extended research, alternate executions, working documents and implementation evidence remain available in the optional appendix or supporting gallery. This gives a hiring manager a fast narrative while preserving proof of depth for readers who want to investigate further.
Measurement framework
| Decision metric | Definition | Source | Cadence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helpful engagement | Saves, guide views and FAQ use | Platform and GA4 | Monthly |
| Appointment intent | Schedule or call clicks | GA4 events | Weekly |
| Content discovery | Nonbrand queries and landing pages | Search Console | Monthly |
| Access quality | Accommodation inquiries resolved | Intake log | Monthly |
These measures support decisions rather than decorate a report. Each names the behavior or operating condition being assessed, the record required and how often it should be reviewed. No engagement, appointment or revenue figure is presented without the original platform, reporting period and attributable record. Sample KPI targets are planning thresholds only.
Results and evidence status
Completed: selected original content assets. Reconstructed or later-created: strategic frameworks and case-study narrative. Proposed: editorial calendar, SEO architecture and measurement. Clinical or acquisition outcomes: none claimed.
This distinction is central to the presentation. Completed work demonstrates Ashlee's research, writing, design or strategic capability. Proposed work explains what she would implement next. Modeled information demonstrates planning and analytical reasoning but is not evidence that an organization achieved the result. A claim becomes verified only when an identifiable record, reporting period and accountable source support it.
What this demonstrates
Ashlee can connect healthcare content, SEO, UX and visual communication into a trustworthy patient-education system.
The project also demonstrates scope control: Ashlee can show substantial work without asking an employer to navigate every draft or source document. The website page leads with the problem, audience, role, decisions and evidence status. The executive PDF provides greater depth, while the appendix preserves supporting proof without slowing the primary presentation.
Recommended next steps
- Obtain practice approval before using identifying client information.
- Have clinical content reviewed by a qualified dental professional.
- Implement alt text, captions, readable contrast and plain-language review.
- Configure privacy-conscious conversion tracking.
Sources and disclosure
- Selected pediatric-dentistry assets supplied by Ashlee Hilton.
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry policies and parent guidance; current versions must be checked before publication.
- HHS HIPAA guidance for marketing and protected health information.
